Jackson turns 2.
I still remember the cake I did for his second birthday, the Farm Cake.
I had so much fun making all the farm animals on this cake.
Whew..time flies!

So for his third birthday, his Nana requested a spiderman cake.
His Nana Lorie is a co-worker where I work fulltime.
Cake Decorating is what I do on the side.
My current hobby and my passion!

My inspiration for this cake was Sweet Picasso's Spiderman Cake.
I love all her work and wish that someday I can make cakes as good like her.
I must say that I love the spiderman figure I made today compared to the previous one I made few months ago.
This Spiderman has better built.
Sexy! LOL!

Welcome to Hogwarts!
A very special Harry Potter Birthday Cake for Adrian who turns 11 on a very memorable day
September 11, 2011 and requested by his loving Mom Sharon.

Imagine a child's excitement when he saw the cake.
I am not sure if it is a good thing, but sometimes a cake like this can be very hard to cut.
He did not allow anyone to cut his cake.

Words from his mom, Sharon:
"Adrian loves his birthday cake so much that he keeps on saying Awesome and
"how did she made it look awesome Mommy?!"
Now this is the reason I conitnue making custom cakes on the side.
Most people say kids are easy to please.
I think kids nowadays are quite hard to please and can be very critical too!
But they are actually the best critics.
 (I know for sure, I get a very honest opinion from my 5 yr old daughter 
whenever I ask her for one).
So getting this reaction and compliment from the celebrant himself...
wow, I am so over the moon.
 I am very glad he likes it...loves it.
Isn't it nice to get this kind of appreciation for the many hours spent on this cake.
It feels good when your creation or art work gets complimented.
It does motivates me to make my next cake better and better.


DETAILS
Started the details three weeks in advance.

    First Harry Potter.
It is made of fondant with tylose powder.

Then I made the other details such as the sorting hat, snitch, a boy in the broom, dragon and owl.

Unfortunately, his loving Dad Arthur had to work that day so he missed Adrian's magical birthday party.
