So when my co-worker asked me to make a 4 tiered cake for her daughter's wedding, I was a little hesitant to take the challenge. Fast forward, here's the wedding cake I made for her daughter's wedding today.
I love how my roses came out which I think is a big improvement from before. The red ruffles took me almost a day to cover the second tier. I'm not quite happy with my stenciling job as I'm a little bit rusty but I think it turned out great overall.
I'd like to thank my friend Susan for driving and helping me assemble the cake at the venue. The best assistant ever..I owe you one Susan. The drive was 1-1/2 hours one way.
Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Chocolate Cake with chocolate butter cream. All cakes are frosted with Belgian dark chocolate ganache and covered with fondant. Used gum paste to make the roses.
Congratulations Amanda and to your hubby Scott!
