Every year, I look forward to creating my daughter's birthday cake.
She's the main reason why I started making cakes.
Honestly, she couldn't make up her mind on the theme.
It started as stack of waffles with gravity defying syrup pouring on the cake.
Edible heads of her friends sandwich between two waffles,
while an edible figure of her standing on a bottle of syrup.
Great idea, i think!
Then she changed her mind.
She wanted a snowball fight.
Until she said maybe a pillow fight with feathers everywhere.
I didn't have so much time to prepare for this cake
because I started selling Macarons at the local market.
Eventually I decided to stop the stint as it was becoming too much for me to handle.
As well, I really wanted to make beautiful cakes more than selling retail macarons.
I was left with only 24 hours in making a cake for her.
So I started the figures with animated features.
I find them so cute.
The idea of stack pillows was conceptualized the night of the assembly.
Here's how I made the pillow:
Print the template to your desired size and cut.
Bake a 9 x 9 x 2 inch cake or any size square cake of your choice. Once cooled, cut the cake in half
We were very happy at the response we got on this cake.
It was chosen as Editor's Choice on CakesDecor site and Daily Top 3
